FOOD
Miche sourdough - not sour at all. Poor bread construction (loaf is dense, not airy, dry, lacks flavor). Extremely disappointed as I went out of my way to come to this local bakery.

Morning bun - nicely done, impressive lamination, not overly sweet, perfectly done cinnamon bun crossover w croissant.

ATMOSPHERE
I did NOT feel welcome here, but the location would be
perfect place to meet up w a friend or colleague for lunch, as interaction would be more focused within your group. Good sandwiches and both indoor and outdoor seating. Please turn down the music indoors!

SUMMARY
I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but it is a pleasant quiet place (in the afternoon, after lunch rush) in a light industrial shopping plaza. I would come back if the owner changed the sourdough bread process.

Hidden gem of a bakery but worth the trek even if it’s on the pricier side. Great variety of pastries and whole loaves, clearly fresh and made with quality ingredients. Would be a regular if we lived locally. Sandwiches were sold out when we visited in the early afternoon so get there early for lunch!

All of the pastries were so good - I can’t choose a favorite! The veggie sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had - super flavorful and filling! You can’t go wrong ordering anything here. The outdoor seating was really nice as well

Extremely pricy. They charge about $4 for one(1) piece of bread and about $1-$2 for a singular extremely small (basically) sample of cream cheese when getting the bagels. The bread is okay, nothing special. Save your money, it’d be better just to go to the grocery store and get a BOX full of bread and desserts for the same price as they’re selling each piece.

When you want to order by phone or make a special order, this store in Carlsbad never answers the phone. It happened to us and coincidentally another customer confirmed my complaint when I told the manager about this. It's happened again today! I guess they don't care if they lose customers.

I bought their Shortbread Cookies at Gelson's in Pacific Beach. I bake a great shortbread but Prager's cookies were better. Can't wait to visit the Bakery in Carlsbad after this sample of their baking.

Nice little bakery with tons of parking available. The bakery is located in a business district. We bought a cardamom bun and a focaccia bread loaf which were pretty tasty. Definitely check out the place.
