Beautiful shop, yummy food, but wait staff need a bit more training.

If you can eat dairy, this place is amazing and there's a plethora of items to choose from.

If you cannot eat dairy, you can only have the palmer (and it is honestly one of the best I've had). They do offer non-dairy alternatives for coffee, but unfortunately the staff doesn't understand the severity some customers have when they deliver the drinks.

I had the waitress verify 3x that the drink she had given me was oatmilk and she said yes each time. After a few sips I knew she was wrong. Had to use my benadryl and was in for a rough night.

The manager did apologize profusely and did comp a couple more palmiers which was very kind of him and why this is a 3 star review and not 1 star. However, this did ruin the rest of my day.

If you have a sensitivity or allergy be wary that the person dropping off the food may just say yes reapetdly rather than verifying with the kitchen if they are unsure.

I hope they are able to train their staff a bit better. I really did like this place otherwise. Even with the very limited non dairy pastry options.

The rib grilled cheese was like butter, so delicious, definitely a go-to . Avocado toast trio is so smooth seasoned to perfection. The egg on top was an amazing touch. I recommend you try it all OBriens Boulangerie will not disappoint, I promise you.

Top notch experience from beginning to end. They made a custom order for me and it was delicious. Latte was outstanding. Staff was professional and friendly. Highly recommend!

Really good little cafe! I got the pesto turkey sandwich with fries, and it was very delicious. Fair enough prices too, only wish the seating was better and more comfortable. Other than that I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast or lunch ?

Just brought my daughter to try the delicious Fried Chicken Sandwich and a Lychee Mimosa. She loved the sandwich too, and her Mimosa was so good. The CREAM CHEESE PINEAPPLE MOUSSE. Wow. The employees are just as sweet and hard working as ever. I really want to try more on their menu. The burger and the Eggs Benedict are calling my name.

2023: I loved the SOUTHERN STYLE FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH. It had so much flavor and the home made fries were fantastic! I think I will skip the cheese next time, just a preference. It had bbq mayo, jalapeño slaw (not too spicy), really good dill pickles, an amazing bun…it's my kind of sandwich.

The Orange Chocolate and Cranberry Scones, Danishes, Lemon Poppyseed Muffin and the Apple Tart were all delicious. The Almond Croissant was good, but I wouldn't repeat the Tiramisu (not much flavor and a bit dry).

I will say that the parking can be a bit stressful. It's a tiny, tight little lot, but it always seems to work out. They have really nice seating choices inside or out. And the staff is so sweet and helpful and hardworking. I love this place.

First time coming to O'Brien's after seeing some neighbors that recommended this place. This was every bit as good as we were told and then some. I had the beef and cheese, which was amazing. Tender and very flavorful beef with yummy melted cheese. My wife had the grilled chicken panini. She loved her sandwich. Everything tastes very fresh and delicious with great service.

We were so full that we didn't have room to try dessert but did purchase some to take home.

The upstairs has a view of the bakery which is very impressive.

Can't wait to come back to try breakfast.

The coffee was decent. A little sweet.

The breakfast sandwich was pretty good. Pretty flavorful.

The pastries were good and fresh.

Overall, we liked the place.

The best bakery/breakfast place in Poway!
I highly recommend Mexican mocha and avocado toast.
